Dennings was a lover of Nick Zano her "2 Broke Girls" co-star from between 2011 and 2014. After their relationship ended the couple began to date Josh Groban. Together they remained until 2016. Dennings and Andrew W.K. met in early 2021. They soon started getting together. They announced their commitment to each other in May 2021. Dennings is a music lover from 2014, is Dennings' first-love. Dennings admits that although she was born Jewish and became an active member of the Jewish community at a personal and ethnic level, religion is not a major aspect of her daily day life. Her interests include gardening, reading as well as painting. She was planning to go to an art college, however after the entire portfolio of her was destroyed by floods the plans shattered. This was the moment she took the flood as a warning, which led her to becoming an actor instead. Transcendental mediation is her preferred method. She is an activist on behalf of animal rights and also has an animal companion.
