Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only child born to Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, who was a manufacturer of tool and dies, as well as a former employee in a manufacturing plant. Her birth date was the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her three siblings. Stone, who was gifted when she was an infant, started in second grade at five. Stone graduated from Saegertown High School in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. Also, Stone competed and won the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone and her aunt moved from New Jersey to New Jersey to start a modelling career in the year 1977. The two signed on with an agency called the Ford Modeling Agency after a short period of time. She soon relocated to Europe, spending a year living in Milan and Paris. Stone was however dissatisfied in Europe by the fashion industry, and decided to venture to acting. Stone appeared in Woody Allen's movie "Stardust Memories" when he was twenty. The film was met with diverse reactions.
