Anamaria Martinca is an actor from Romania. She won an award called the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress during The Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. She speaks French, German, English and Romanian proficiently. Her father is a theatre teacher at one of the country's highest-rated drama schools. She won the Best Female Actor Award for the Year in 2000 at the Mangalia Young Actor Gala. The European Film Promotion Board named her as a European Shooting Star in 2008. She starred in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 saptamani si 2 zile (4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 days) produced by Cristian Mungiu, which won the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two additional awards (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI prize). She also appeared in the film of Francis Ford Coppola Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was the character Yasim anwar in BBC series The Last Enemy. Marinca was a character in Yasim's story in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, in addition to in the Romanian Drama Boogie. Later, she had a major performance in the 2014 film Fury where she played the role of a German woman who was named Irma the aunt of Emma.
